Louisiane Saint Fleurant is one of the most remarkable artists of this new school of the Saint Soleil devoid of any outside influence much appreciated by André Malraux.

Since 1978, she has participated in exhibitions abroad. She was born in Petite rivière de Nippe in Haiti in 1922 and is the godmother of the new school of painters of Saint Soleil created under the direction of Tiga and Maude Robbart, promoter of this movement in Soisson-la-Montagne about 50 kms from Port-au-Prince. It is through Voodoo that we would best approach the creative process of Haitian painters and in particular those of the Saint Soleil movement.
