‘An Urban Twist’ from Morocco

In April 2012, Moroccan Fine Art launched its ‘online gallery’ dedicated to Moroccan fine art, specialising in emerging artists from Morocco. www.moroccanfineart.com

Moroccan Fine Art offers its clients a tailored service to purchase and commission works of art from a country with a longstanding cultural heritage. We understand the emerging Moroccan art market and advise on the acquisition of certified art work. We welcome enquiries from museums, art consultants, interior designers, and collectors.

Director, Nadia Echiguer, recently collaborated with an international art consultancy agency and a leading interior design practice on the newly opened Four Seasons Hotel in Marrakech. She worked with the hotel designers and was able to commission twelve selected local artists. Fifty paintings and drawings were created which now adorn the public areas of the Four Seasons Hotel.

London based Nadia grew up in Rabat and is passionate about art from her home-country: “Our cultural heritage, the vivid colours and textures of Morocco and many well known artists have given me much inspiration and immense pleasure over the years. Today the art market in Morocco is thriving and the art on offer is as diverse as the country, its people and its landscape.”

To celebrate the launch of their ‘online gallery’, Moroccan Fine Art is marking this event with the exhibi- tion ‘An Urban Twist’ from Morocco. The exhibition will showcases work by Larbi Cherkaoui, Kim Bennani, Said Yaghfouri, Zineb Echiguer and Said Qodaid. This is the first of a series of exhibitions hosted by Moroccan Fine Art. With the launch of our ‘online gallery’, Nadia endeavours to promote the diverse artistic talent emerging from Morocco to a wider audience, both in the UK and internationally.
