Jonathan is a painterly humorous illustrator and superlative caricaturist. Since graduating in 1999 he has contributed to many prominent magazines and advertising campaigns. His work is figurative, balancing caricature and naturalism whilst maintaining a believable, if irreverent, reality.
During his art education he won a number of awards including the British Cartoonistπs Association and The Timesπ Young Cartoonist of the Year (1995), a D Student Award (1998) and the Association of Illustratorsπ Student award (1999).
The exhibition will feature selected commissions from his career so far including works and caricatures for the Radio Times and his character designs for the Cadbury Coronation Street sponsorship animations, along with a small selection of his distinctive portraits. Although he has had work included in a number of exhibitions in the capital previously, his exhibition at the Coningsby will be his first solo showcase.
