Jill George Gallery / Winter Wonders
The exhibition, ‘Winter Wonders’, features a series of drawings by David Mach and Chris Orr in response to the present political climate.
Chris is continuing the age of the satirical artist, known for their political satire and social observation from Hogarth, Rowlandson and Daumier through to Scarfe, Searle and then today’s cartoonists featured in the National newspapers.
Chris Orr’s work has always been ‘of a moment’ and his quick drawings, entitled The Johnson Collection of Drawings, feature the politicians in various circumstances drawn with his usual wit and integrity. David Mach’s collages are well known. Both artists are Royal Academicians.
Other work in the exhibition include Mary Grant’s romantic landscapes, a beautiful painting on paper of a sleeping woman by Tomas Watson and the lyrical, abstract landscape paintings by Gareth Edwards.
Ideal Christmas presents. Prices range from £600.00 to £6,000.00.
