Vox Pop

An exhibition of work by the ground breaking illustrators promoted by debut art.

Successful illustration is illustration which strikes a chord, resonating with the people intended: illustration that people understand, love and appreciate: illustration that enlightens and excites: illustration that, in a commercial sense, stimulates sales.

VOX POP presents the work of 50 leading and award winning illustrators based worldwide who are promoted by debut art.

Each artist was asked to produce a new piece of work in responce to a broad VOX POP brief. Namely to depict how they see their role as an illustrator in society. VOX POP means literally ‘voice of the people’. Illustration both reflects and enhances society.

The Artists exhibiting include: Arno, Tim Ashton, Andy Baker, Barbara Bellingham, James Carey, Marina Caruso, Matthew Chattle, Carol del Angel, Barry Downard, Tim Ellis, Jim Friedman, Freya, Hannah Gal, Nicky Gissing, Cathy Horton, Sarah Howell, Huntley/Muir, Giulio Iurissevich, Sarah Jones, Christina K, Alan Kitching, Neil Leslie, Gone Loco, Dan Mackie, Harry Malt, Bill McConkey, Kim McGillivray, Vince McIndoe, Dave McKay, Pat Morgan, Kevin O’Keefe, Martin O’Neill, Sunil Pawar, Paul Price, Peter Quinnell, Steve Rawlings, Nick Reddyhoff, Si Scott, Serge Seidlitz, Tim Spencer, James Starr, James Taylor, Dominic Trevett, Vault 49, Daryl Waller, Jane Webster, Louise Weir, Alex Williamson.
